OUR WORK

Adult Education

The Compost Education Centre hosts public workshops taught by staff and community experts. Workshop topics include composting, waste reduction, food security, soil health, rainwater harvesting, and ecological conservation. Our workshops emphasize an experiential way of learning to inspire individuals to apply these practices in their own lives. For example, during the Regenerative Agriculture for the Home Garden workshop, closed loop gardening systems are visible and toured on-site. Our objective is to support participant’s ability to engage with climate resiliency practices, rehabilitate urban soil, steward native ecosystems, and support local food security.
