The Green Cone Digester

The digester is an easy way to compost any type of food scrap, including items that typically cannot go into the earth machine such as dairy, cooked food, bread, bones, and meat. It must be dug 2 feet into well draining soil in a sunny area of the garden. There is no need to harvest finished compost, you simply add all your food scraps and it 'digests' them, turning yor waste into a nutrient rich leachate that is absorbed by the surrounding soil. It can also be used to compost pet waste(must be placed at least 10 feet away from a food garden or fruit producing tree in this case). No skill or effort required, simply fill and forget:

Worm Bins (Vermi Composting)**Apartment friendly option**

If you live in an apartment or condo or have limited outdoor space, here's a sure-fire way to recycle your kitchen food waste while at the same time producing a fine, rich fertilizer for your houseplants. There is no smell or mess as long as the instructions are followed. Suitable for indoor use mainly-outdoor use (i.e. patio) if very well insulated. A worm bin is also a great teaching tool for youngsters! Your purchase comes complete with a starter kit (worm bin and bedding).
